The receiver of many awards as screen writer with a National Award for Bhoothakkannadi in 1997 (Debut as director), Ambazhathil Karunakaran Lohithadas, was born on 10 th May, 1955 in Kerala. He was also known as Lohi. He had mostly work for the Malayalam film industry. His debut film was Thaniyavarthanam in 1987. He had written more than 35 films. He died on 29 th June, 2009. Some of his works are Bharatham, Venkalam, Chakoram, Kasthootriman etc. he won Kerala and Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. He won awards mostly for his script writings.
